Chef Edi Frauneder opens Schilling on Washington Street (FiDi, NYC)

1) Financial District: Hot off the opening of Freud, chef Eduard Frauneder recently opened his latest project: Schilling. The FiDi restaurant offers Frauneder's take on Austrian fare, with a Mediterranean touch. Menu highlights from the chef include hamachi crudo, wienerschnitzel, and braised lamb shoulder with Israeli couscous. Right now, the menu also has black pepper tagliatelle with garbanzos and mushrooms. The team at Frauneder's cocktail bar The Third Man helped create special cocktails for Schilling.
